Wheel balancing in Musaffah
A vibration through the steering wheel or the seat at motorway speed usually indicates a wheel out of balance. We spin each wheel on the balancing machine, find the heavy spot and add small weights until it runs true, which also stops the tyre wearing unevenly.
What is included
- Each wheel checked on the balancing machine
- Old weights removed, new weights fitted
- A short look at the tyres for damage or uneven wear
Questions and answers
How do I know my wheels need balancing?
A vibration that starts around 80 to 120 km/h and fades at other speeds is the typical sign. Uneven, patchy wear on the tread is another.
Is balancing the same as alignment?
No. Balancing stops vibration from the wheel itself; alignment sets the angles of the wheels so the car drives straight. If the car pulls to one side, please ask for a wheel alignment check.
Is balancing included when I buy new tyres?
Yes, every set of new tyres we fit is balanced as part of the fitting.
